Prohibition Gastropub & Oyster Bar in Toronto

Good service. Spicy Bootleg burger was OK. Fries sat too long before they brought them out and they were a little cold...I still are them all though. :) Large group may have contributed to it. I'd go back to try some of the other items, they looked really good and those that ate them said they were good.

Highly recommend this place if you've never been! Food was amazing, drinks were top notch. They have wood that they can smoke old fashions with. It was an amazing experience I definitely will be coming again. Service is also over the top!

Yum! I got the burger of the week and it was amazing. It had fried pickles so it was right up my alley. Go here if you want great food and great service. JD was very kind and treated me like family.

Awesome drink selection. Great food. The burgers are seriously so big. I also was able to pick up cigars here. On Thursdays they have a cigars and scotch pairing on the patio that's heated!

My wife and I went in on Saturday evening. We ordered the bleu cheese lasagna, and the Voot. We had a nice--and really, it was very nice for the price!!-- glass of house red wine with our meals. The appetizers were the bacon/jalapeno item and everything was done perfectly. We really had a nice time on the outdoor patio enjoying the evening sun and the smells from the kitchen. Our dinners were delicious. We went in during this Covid crisis. Everyone working had gloves and masks, the staff made sure the tables and chairs, handles, etc were all clean. They stay busy. Nice work. Really. I think I need to go back enough to try everything on the menu, twice. At least.

By word of mouth is how I stumbled upon Prohibition and last night was a perfect opportunity to dine in without the bad weather. It's a nice small environment that you don't feel crammed in and the staff was polite and sociable. What intended on ordering was the Al Capone Burger, but took another glance at the menu and the Grilled Chicken Sandwich caught my eye. They should rename the Sandwich to "The Truth", because it was THAT GOOD. With the first bite, I was immediately impressed and made sure the staff was aware of my personal approval of the sandwich. I look forward to revisiting Prohibition with some comrades, so they can share the experience I had.

The owner is very kind and the food is AMAZING. The French onion soup is the best I’ve ever had. Highly recommend!

A true dining experience in a relaxed fun atmosphere. Menu items you don't normally find

Absolutely the best food! My husband had the Al Capone, and he said it was the best burger he has ever eaten! The atmosphere was great and the owner was friendly. We will definitely be returning with more people and an empty stomach!!

The food was tasty and clearly prepared with skill - I'd like to explore the menu a little more to be sure, but my first impression, both of the meal and the dessert, was a really strong one. What impressed me more, though, was the service - attentive without being invasive, friendly without being overly familiar. It was clear that what mattered most to the folks working there was that their guests have a relaxing and pleasant time - which means being chatty with folks looking for a chat, but offering lovely peace and quiet for someone looking to sit peacefully and read a book. It felt like a place you could easily come to think of as a home away from home - I'll certainly be back, and maybe next time I'll bring a friend instead of a book to read. :-)

Holy smokes this place is FANTASTIC! John (Owner) is a super cool guy and really knows how to run his place. We had the Baked Brie with seasonal compote for an appetizer. Let me tell you, it did not disappoint! Then we had the Al Capone burger with hand cut fries, buttermilk ranch and dirty ketchup. This burger (and fries) is hands-down one of the most delicious burgers my wife and I have ever tasted! We chased all our food down with a few cocktails that were perfectly crafted. All in all, quite a wonderful experience. The crazy thing about it...I wasn’t even hungry, but we left those plates clean! 😆 A MUST go!
